Here’s a few photos taken and sent in by long time Peterborough In Pictures contributor, Marcus Thompson. These clearly show renovation work taking place on the centre’s Crescent Bridge during Christmas, 2000.

For those of you that have not managed to attend the Peterborough Museum to view Chris Porsz’ exhibition, you will be pleased to know that it will be taking place until Friday 18th May.

This photograph has done the rounds in various national publications as Chris Porsz managed to contact the couple in the photograph and arranged a reunion photograph to be taken which can be seen below.

After a 15 month closure and a £3.2 million pound make over the museum actually reopened on March 31st but it was heaving so a separate launch  will be held for my photography exhibition. Children and grandchildren will love the rest of the museum with it’s interactive features and the ever popular dinosaurs.

The first gallery will comprise my eighties images and hanging in the central gallery will be eighteen sets of unique reunions with six new ones that have never been published before. Many of the original chracters are attending so it will be a great chance to chat with them. The third gallery will show my latest work. If you have not already  done so please could you let me know if you are able to attend as the museum needed approximate numbers. I look forward to seeing you all and it will be a good chance to catch up again.
